Joan Eileen Gottier was born on April 22nd, 1954 in Rushville, NE and she resided there for most of her life. She passed away August 16, 2018 at her home in Rushville. Eileen is survived by her mother Sandra Loosvelt. Two daughters Tosha Gottier and Niki Lee. Two granddaughters Soryn and Bryar Lee. Jack Gottier was her husband for twenty years and friend after, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

For many years Eileen was a child caretaker for several different families in the community. She also worked as proofer at Stockman's National Bank. She lived in both Nevada and Montana for a period of time where she enjoyed helping out with many different large ranches.

Eileen was well known in her community for her volunteer work at Rushville Sheridan County Historical Museum, Rushville Elementary, The Legion Auxiliary, and Morse Memorial Methodist Church.

She really enjoyed reading any kind of literature you could think of and loved spending time with the residents at Parkview Apartment putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was very talented at ceramic painting and embroidery.

Her close family members would say she was the kindest hearted, funny, stubborn person you could ever have the chance of knowing. She will be missed by many.

The family suggests memorials to the Morse Memorial Methodist Church or the Rushville Public Library and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
