Elnora Bridge

Elnora Marie (Hauser) Bridge, 88, of Rushville, NE passed away Monday January 29, 2018 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hay Springs, NE.

Elnora was born November 2, 1929 at Rockville, NE to Jacob Herman Hauser and Marie Louise (Obermiller) Hauser. She and younger brother Floyd along with their parents lived on a farm in Sherman County, NE until 1942 at which time the family moved to Rushville, NE.

In 1946 Elnora contracted polio and spent 10 months in the Hot Springs, SD hospital. She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1948.

On September 18, 1948 Elnora married Floyd James Bridge of Rushville, NE at Bridgeport, NE. To this union two children were born, Ronnie Lee and Janice Marie.

Elnora worked for the Sheridan County Assessor's Office from 1979 until retiring in December of 1991.

In April 2000, Elnora sold her home and moved to Parkview Apartments in Rushville, residing there until entering Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hay Springs, NE in August 2017.

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Hauser and Marie Kohlhof, husband Floyd and infant granddaughter Gina Bridge.

She leaves to mourn her passing, son Ronnie (Bev) Bridge of Aurora, CO, daughter Janice (Allen) Cerny of Ogallala, NE, brother Floyd (Dixie) Hauser of Scottsbluff, NE, sister-in-law Phyllis Bridge of Woodburn, OR, three grandsons, three granddaughters, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday February 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Morse Memorial United Methodist Church in Rushville, NE with Reverend Paul Smith and Reverend Al Trucano officiating. Burial was held in Fairview Cemetery, Rushville, NE.
