Frances E Olbricht, 94, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Mitchell Care Center in Mitchell, Nebraska. Graveside services were held Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Glendale Cemetery in Glen, Nebraska with Pastor Matt Parker officiating. The memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
Frances was born September 7, 1923, to Glen and Bessie (Newlin) Kreman in Harrison, Nebraska. Frances grew up in Glen, Nebraska attending District #2 school until her junior year when she attended Harrison High School and graduated in 1942. She taught school for four years prior to her marriage.
Frances married Frederick William "Bill" Olbricht on June 7, 1947; to this union they had four children; Lennis, Glen, Kim and Cheryl. Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Frances was active in the Harrison Bible Church where she enjoyed being with her church family. She was also an active volunteer at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, Nebraska for many years. She loved music and enjoyed cooking. She spent many hours doing embroidery work making tea towels which she gave away as gifts. She dearly loved her home in Glen and was quite knowledgeable about the surrounding area's history which she would gladly share with others.
Survivors include her sons; Lennis and wife Nancy of Aurora, CO; Glen and Janet of Newton, KS; Kim and wife Mary of Bayard, NE; daughter Cheryl Collins and husband Rick of Gillette, WY; brother John Kreman of Scottsbluff, NE; sister-in-law Fay Kreman of Chadron, NE; ten grandchildren and twenty- two great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; brother Clarence; sister-in-law Betty Jo Kreman; grandson Jared; and two great -grandchildren.
