Lifeguard, horsewoman, youth leader, vocal sports fan, cat lover, rancher, substitute teacher, educator, home cook & baker, a very devoted employee at Agate Fossil Beds National Monument “Ranger Anne”, avid tv connoisseur, uninhibited movie critic, friend, and more.

Anne Elizabeth Wilson [McChesney], age 61, of Harrison, NE, died on April 9th, 2026 from complications caused by pancreatic and uterine cancer. Place of death was Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.

Anne was born on July 27th, 1964 in Santa Monica, CA, the daughter of Ralph Stanley McChesney Jr. and Shirley Leone McChesney [Boggs].

Anne grew up in Palas Verdes, CA and Tucson, AZ. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ in 1986 with a B.S. in Education. After graduating, Anne taught at Pinecrest in Van Nuys, CA. Anne moved to Harrison, NE when she married William on Aug. 12th, 1989. Their married life began on the Wilson family homestead northwest of Harrison, and they moved to her Warneke family homestead on the Niobrara River south of Harrison in 1995.

She is survived by:

Husband: William Harold Wilson, spouse of 36 years; Sons: Luke William Wilson (Melissa), Nikolas John Wilson, and Levi Matthew Wilson (Forrest); Grandchildren: Liberty R. Wilson, Frederick L. Wilson, William D. Wilson, and Elijah J. Wilson; Sisters: Susan L. Viguie (David), Carol A. Webb (Jeffrey), Paula L. Chin (Wray) And numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by:

Parents: Shirley Leone McChesney [Boggs], Ralph Stanley McChesney Jr. Grandparents: Frank G. & Verna L. Boggs [Hanson], Ralph S. Sr. & Alice D. McChesney [Dickie]

She led a blessed life.

Funeral to be held at 10 AM on April 20th, 2026 at the Harrison Memorial United Methodist Church with burial at the Harrison Cemetery and a social lunch gathering at the VFW hall to follow.

The family welcomes flowers for the service, memorials to the Harrison Memorial United Methodist Church, or donations to the Downs Syndrome charity of their choice.
