Ben Britton

Benjamin Lee Britton, age 58, of Chadron, Nebraska passed away September 14, 2023. Benjamin was born March 3, 1965 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Jesse and Jackie (Hoffman) Britton. Ben graduated from Yuma High School in 1982. He enlisted in the Army in 1983. He was a Military Police Canine Corp.  at Ft. Benning, Georgia from 1984 to 1991.

Ben then returned to Colorado and worked 22 year for Keystone Resort in Transportation as a Dispatcher, Driver, and Supervisor. The 6 years at Summit Sage as a Dispatcher and Driver before coming North to be closer to family here.

Ben is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Betty (BJ) Hunter, brothers, James Britton and Timothy (Mary) Britton. Nephew, Lee Hunter, Nieces, Lona (Tim) Meredith and Emma Britton, along with many other loved family members (too many to name).

Many loved "Uncle Ben" as he was known to most. He was always on hand to help folks when needed especially if it involved dogs. He was such an easy going fellow and seemed to settle people with his calm demeanor. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

The family has arranged his memorial service will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Northfield Church in Chadron, Nebraska. Luncheon to follow.
