Derwin Holsinger

Derwin Harry Holsinger was born on August 1, 1922 just outside of Gordon, NE to Harry and Dorothy(Cover) Holsinger.

He married the love of his life, Virginia Adele Drury, on September 19, 1948 and together they raised 5 children; Mark Holsinger, Shelley (Holsinger) Hunt, Matthew Holsinger, Susan (Holsinger) Pelton, and Mitchell Holsinger. He also had 12 grandchildren as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Derwin’s passions were operating heavy equipment, riding horses, working cattle, and most of all, spending time with his wife of 70 years. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1966 and remained faithful to his heavenly Father, Jehovah, until he peacefully passed on December 11, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy Holsinger and his brother, Glen Holsinger.

Derwin is survived by his wife, Virginia Adele, sons Mark, Matthew and Mitchell and daughters Shelley and Susan, his sister Audrey (Holsinger) Wheeler, as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
