Douglas Wayne Brueckner

Douglas, Wayne Brueckner was born in Chadron NE on October 13th, 1960 to Edward and Violet Brueckner. He spent most of his childhood in Chadron. Douglas met and married the love of his life. Colette Brueckner at the end of their high school years. They married on November 30th, 1979. In their 46 years of marriage they had three beautiful children. Michael, Sarah and Joshua.

Douglas spent many years working for the BNSF railroad out of alliance and Crawford. When he wasn't working on those tracks he was working on many motocross tracks.. his love of Motocross is where he met so many of his and our friends that we consider family. He was always making sure we shared his love of God, family, and Motocross and that Friends and will continue to.

Douglas was survived by wife Colette Brueckner of 46 years, Son Michael (Jessica) Brueckner - grandchildren Brayten and Brielle Brueckner, daughter Sarah (Brian) and granddaughter Gracie. He was proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Violet Brueckner brother Gregory Brueckner and son, Joshua Brueckner.

He will forever be remembered as the son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend who would do anything he could to make sure everyone was taken care of always.. We will always remember and carry on his love of Motocross hunting and generations of running trains. Most of all, we will remember his caring heart and strong love for God in his family and friends..

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 31st, 2026 at Spirit of Faith Church, 239 main Street, Chadron, Nebraska.
