Duane Sayaloune

Nov 24, 1985 — May 1, 2026

Duane passed away on the 1st of May, 2026, Friday early afternoon. He left this earth with the sun on his beautiful face. Surrounded by the love of all his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, strength, and unconditional love. Duane was the first born son and first grandson to the Sayaloune family. He felt most at peace being outdoors. He loved to hike, fish, camp, kayak, or drive his Jeep with the top down and music playing. Music was a huge part of Duane’s life. It's debatable if he was a good dancer, we have videos to prove it; but we can all agree Duane has the sweetest and most kind voice. We will all miss him singing karaoke with family and friends. He always arrived to every gathering having a constant positive good energy that he shared with everyone. He would make his grand entrance with his classic BIG Duane smile. He was a gentleman of high integrity, incredibly generous, with a heart so large that he left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Duane's character also had a mix of fierce loyalty and mischievous humor. He would drop anything and everything for his little sister; only to follow up with a silly pic of the two of them and post it online just to make her smile and laugh. Alpha Rd was a very special place where many of his favorite memories were made. This would provide the foundation for the great man he was. He spent the majority of his childhood rebuilding engines, restoring body work with his Dad. His respect for his father's industry began as a mechanic and blossomed into a successful career as a skilled Master Tech, professional Service Advisor, and he was a Railroad Conductor learning to become an engineer. He was a man of pride and also a compassionate humble person. Duane loved and always wore bright colors and floral prints. Something he proudly inherited from his mother, that reflects his vibrant spirit and unforgettable personality that made him so easily loved by others. His adult life was spent mainly in Arizona, where he was blessed to become the father of his two beautiful children. Above all else, Duane loved his children and spoke of them with endless pride and devotion. Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, the memories he created and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered for his big heart, resilience, humor, and the deep love he carried for his family and friends every day. Duane is survived by his children, Aurora “Rory” Sayaloune and Van Sayaloune; his parents, Damdouane “Douane” and Mesa Sayaloune; his sister, Dolly Vadovsky, and brotherin-law Mike Vadovsky; paternal grandfather, Khamphao Sayaloune; maternal in law grandmother, Thongwan LeuamChampassak; uncles and aunts Manonam “Nom” and Dawn Sayaloune, Phetmany “Phet” Sayaloune and Al Risden, Malaysy “Lay” and Nikone “Nick” Moungkhounsavath, Malychanh “Lee” Sayaloune and Denita Julius, Stephanie Sayaloune,Malychone “John” and Bert Sayaloune, Thavivone “Tav” and Tara Sayaloune, Voradeth “Voff ” and Carrie Sayaloune, Detsinh “Dets” and Kristine Sayaloune, Khene Douangmala, and Francine “France” Champassak; Uncle Khamphouvan Douangmala, Khamkow Saiyaphey, Aunt Tong Khounsubdee, and Souksameu Phommixay, along with numerous other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
