Floyd Coleman

Graveside services for Floyd Coleman, Chadron, Nebraska, will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron, Nebraska with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.

Floyd passed away on November 14, 2020 at Crestview Care Center in Chadron, Nebraska.

Mr. Coleman was born on September 22, 1936 in Whitney, Nebraska.

He was 84.

Floyd graduated from Chadron High School, where he played football.  While in high school he earned his Eagle Scout Badge.  He also graduated from Chadron State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and played football in college as well.

Floyd was a retired math teacher, working the majority of his career at Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois.  He moved back to Chadron after retiring because of his fond memories of growing up there.

He enjoyed coaching football and wrestling, hunting, fishing and camping.  He will be greatly missed.

Floyd is survived by his loving son, Zorn (Karyn) Coleman and three grandchildren, Olivia, Aidan & Ava Coleman.
