Jackie Kling

Jacqueline Jean Kling was born September 25th, 1957, to Jack Weiler Mills and Gloria Ann Mills.  She was baptized into the faith July 27th,1958.  Jackie attended Sunday school and church with her family and was confirmed into the Lutheran Church on May 7th, 1972.

After the sudden and untimely death of her father, her mother Gloria moved the family to her parent’s family farm Northeast of Gordon.  Jackie attended Gordon High School; After graduating in 1975, she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating with a dual major in Special Education and Elementary Education.

Jackie was joined in marriage to Dan Kling, her high school sweetheart on December 29th, 1979.  As the couple’s relationship grew, they were blessed by the birth of their first child Trent Robert on June 17th, 1983. Jackie’s overwhelming capacity to love, made room for their second blessing with the birth of Kortney Rae on April 17th, 1987.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father Jack, grandparents Joe and Gerda Huckfeldt, Milbourne and Helen Mills, father-in-law Floyd Kling, sister-in-law Tina Mills, and various aunts, uncles, and a very special dear friend Mary Riggleman.

Jackie leaves behind her husband Dan, son Trent, daughter Kortney, daughter-in-law Jessica Kling, son-in-law Matt Dolezal, grandchildren Grace, Hope, and Faith Kling, Franklin, Randal and Hazel Dolezal, mother Gloria Mills, mother-in-law Helen Kling, brother Bob Mills along with many other close relatives and friends.

Jackie joined our heavenly father on October 14th, 2022.  Jackie made an incredible impact on everyone in her life, especially her family, grandkids, and students and will be missed dearly.

Memorial service will be held Friday, October 21st, 2:00 PM at Gordon-Rushville High School, Gordon, Nebraska. Inurnment will be held in the Gordon Cemetery. A memorial has been established and donations may be sent to Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
