James Meints

Celebration of life for James E. Meints, age 69 of Chadron will be held at the Favorite Bar at 4:30 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Family services will be held at a later date in Plymouth, NE.

James Meints was born November 6, 1951 in Beatrice, NE to Wilbur and Marvel Meints. He passed away on November 17, 2020 at his home in Chadron.

James grew up in Plymouth, NE and graduated high school from Tri County High School. He started working road construction for L.J Webb Construction and enjoyed doing bridge work for the next 40+ years.

James enjoyed traveling Nebraska and surrounding states for work. He loved doing carpentry and construction hobbies at home, fishing, reading, old westerns (especially John Wayne) and any sports on TV, mostly the Huskers!

James was preceded in death by his father Wilbur and brother Joel.

He is survived by his mother Marvel, wife Dodi, son Jeff (Tamara), daughters Andrea, Katie Mead (Lonnie), Jessie, and bonus son K.C Chasek. Grandchildren Brooke, Britney, and Kevin Meints; Kooper, Kaisyn, and Kamdin Mead, Beaux Chasek, Jackson Chasek, and great grandson Jayden Chasek. Siblings Kenneth Meints, Lori (George) Topp, Daniel Meints, Susan (Ron) Jurgens, and Todd (Val) Meints, and numerous nieces and nephews.
