A Visitation for 93-year old Jane “Janie” Agnes Row will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from

9:00 am to 11:00 am at Chamberlain Chapel. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery on what would have been her 94th birthday.

Janie was born February 28, 1929 to F. Douglas McDonald and Grace B. (Eaton) McDonald in Harlowton, Montana. She passed away on February 16, 2023 at the Chadron Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Janie graduated from Chadron Prep in 1947. She married Richard “Dick” Row on May 29, 1948 in Chadron. They lived and worked on Dick’s parent’s farm/ranch on the Table near Prairie Home School until Dick unexpectedly passed away on August 18, 1980 at the age of 53. Janie continued living on the Table until the Fall of 1991 when she sold the place and moved into Chadron.

Janie and Dick enjoyed riding motorcycles, with Janie eventually getting her own motorcycle to ride. This motorcycle was traded in for her beloved yellow Corvette that she could be seen driving around town and the occasional trip out of town. She was even known to “burn rubber” a time or two in the Vette, fondly known as Tweety. Some of Janie’s other passions were bowling of which she was on a bowling league team for several years, her huge collection of owl figurines and owl wall décor and cake decorating. She was also known to be a very talented seamstress.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Grace, brother Norman and niece Mary. She is survived by nephews Stuart (Theresa) McDonald, Bill (Karen) McDonald, Don McDonald.
