A celebration of life will be held at the Congregational Church, 370 Chadron Ave, Chadron Nebraska at 1:00 PM on Saturday December 20th. Cremains will be placed in Parks, Nebraska at a later date.

Joseph Nathaniel Sanchez was born April 13th, 1976 in Alliance, NE to Kim Sanchez and Joseph Mario Sanchez. Nathan spent his younger years in the Benkelman, Haigler, Parks area of southwest Nebraska. His best memories are with friends riding bikes, riding his motorcycle, exploring Rock Creek and Parks area, playing in his tree house and horse tank pool with his dog buddy. He also loved goose and duck hunting with his uncles and great grandfather in the sandhills north of Oshkosh, NE. Nathan graduated from Benkelman High School in 1995 and attended a 2 year auto mechanic program in Goodland, KS. Later on, in life Nathan went to work for Husqvarna and other plant factories in Seattle WA, while working toward a degree in graphic design. He lived in Seattle about 15 years and greatly enjoyed the area. When his son Poseidon came to visit he loved spending time with him. They also spent many hours on the phone laughing and talking. As he struggled with cancer he recently returned to live with his mother and son and daughter-in-law in Chadron, Nebraska.

Preceding his death is his grandmother and grandfather Verna and Paul Sanchez and grandfather Tim Sullivan and step-grandfather Ed Porter. Also preceded in death were uncles Paul, Mickey, Louis and Angelo Sanchez.

Nathan is survived by his son Poseidon Sanchez and Poseidon's wife Kaelyn Sanchez, mother Kim Sullivan and her husband Terry Piper, father Joseph Sanchez and his wife Angie Abegg-Sanchez, and brothers and sisters, Jordan Crouse, Bridget, Roxanna and Carlos Sanchez. He is also survived by his grandmother Patsy Porter.

Aunts and uncles are Manual and Tina Sanchez, Art and Priscilla Sanchez, Yvonne and Mark Robertson, Lisa Kittleman, Maria Nelle, Kelly Sullivan, Polly Sullivan and Sally Strausz, Doug Sullivan and Amanda Hellman and Eric, Bruce Porter and Dana, Chris Porter and Zane Porter and many cousins and relatives. Also left to mourn him is a friend, Robby Drennan of Seattle and his kitty, Midnight.
