June L. Schott was born on April 28, 1930 in Bozeman MT. to John & Pearl Schleinger, she was the middle child of 5. When she was 5 years old, she was adopted by Harold and Margarette Berry, brought her back to Chadron and was raised just south of Chadron. June was 13 when Jerry was adopted and raised by Margarette and Harold Berry.

She later met Donald Schott married, and into this union, she was blessed with five children.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. June passed away peacefully at Chadron Community Hospital on November 22, 2025.

June will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She was a homemaker for many years.

She worked around Chadron at numerous businesses before retiring. She was recognized with many plaques and awards for volunteering devotion to RSVP for over 25 plus years. An avid bowler, jigsaw enthusiast, cat whisperer, and craft junkie, she also was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion, Humane Society of US, numerous clubs, organizations. Her life was marked with steadfast faith, for a devotion to service.

She was also a beloved cat owner. She once told the family that she owned well over a 100 cats in her lifetime. The impact of her absence will be profound, felt by all who she touched. Her indelible impact will continue to inspire us!

She is survived by her brother Jerry Berry of Chadron, NE. Daughter: Vonna Schott of Westminster, CO., Tarry (Linda) Schott of Blaine, MN. and Les Schott of Ft. Collins, CO. June had 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Numerous nieces, nephews, also .

She is preceded in death by Donald Schott, 2 sons: Larry, Garry Schott (Russell Legg), three sisters, one brother

Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 28, 2025 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE. at 2 p.m. Burial at the Greenwood Cemetery later.
