Keith "Bud" Roberts

Keith Hamilton “Bud” Roberts, 100, passed away April 13, 2019 following a short illness. He was born December 29, 1918 on the family farm 7 miles east of Gordon, Nebraska.  Bud attended country grade school at Sudan and graduated Gordon High School in 1936.   He farmed and ranched with his father and brother Jack until he retired.  As farmers, the brothers were progressive, drilling one of the first irrigations wells in the area.  Bud was a very patient, kind, gentle soul.  He spent his later years devoted to helping care for his brother and family.  He was always a steadfast, strong presence and possessed a dry sense of humor that delighted those who knew him well.

He was preceded in death by his parents Justina (Tina) and William (Bill) Roberts, his sisters Elsie Ericksen and Jean Riggleman, brother Jack Roberts, brothers-in law Paul Ericksen and Ray Riggleman,  and sister-in-law Mary Lou Roberts.  He is survived by nieces and nephews and his Countryside Care family of excellent nurses, staff and residents who will miss him greatly.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 18, 2019, 2:30 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, Gordon, Nebraska.

The family suggest memorials to Grace Lutheran Church or to Countryside Care and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
