Linda Lee (Haslow) Farmer passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 24, 2022, at the age of 71. She was born December 23rd, 1950, to John and Jackie Haslow in Rushville, Nebraska. She grew up on the family farm 5 miles south of Gordon. Linda attended K-8th grade at the country school 4 miles south of Gordon. She was in 4-H and had lambs as projects. She attended both Gordon and Rushville High Schools. After highschool she went to Phoenix, Arizona where she lived for a few years. After a short marriage, she returned to Gordon where she worked as a waitress/hostess there, as well as in Rapid City for a couple of years. She also spent many years working at Homestead Building Supply.
While working at the Hacienda, her future Father-in-Law and Brother-in-Law, made her a bet that of course she won before Ron arrived. They were later married on March 24,1977 at her parents' home. Two children were born to this marriage, Sean Kie and Ronelle Rae (Mousie). They purchased a few acres from Linda's parents where they lived and built R&L Irrigation, a successful irrigation sales and service business. They later expanded, adding a lawn sprinkler business that she managed and got to work with her father for a year. She was a member of the Methodist church and Sunday school director, and very active in the Gordon High School Booster Club during her children's high school years.
In 1990, they purchased the farm ground from her parents and added farming to their enterprises. When Linda retired, they built a home in Rapid City where she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She and Ron continued to make several trips between Rapid City and Gordon as they began to downsize the business.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jackie Haslow, parents -in-law Homer and Martha Farmer, all her aunts and uncles and her beloved son Sean.
Linda is survived by her husband Ron, daughter Ronelle Blake, Grandchildren, Davin, Jonah and Haadyn Blake; brother John (Tom) and Jo Haslow, brother-in-law Jimmy (Shirley) Farmer, sister-in-law Judy and Don Morton, and many nieces and nephews.
