She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from high school in 1960. She majored in elementary education and accounting at Abilene, Christian University (College), in Abilene Texas. Linda met Darrel Knote in the summer of 1964, and they were married on December 18, 1964 in Sherman. Darrel & Linda made their home in Abilene, TX until moving to Rosebud, TX in 1966.
