Nina M Retzlaff

Nina M. Retzlaff was born on November 6, 1944, to George and Bessie Sexton; Anne was raised in the Hay Springs, Nebraska area. She passed away at the age of 81 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Nina met her husband, Roy Retzlaff, at the diner she worked at in Whiteclay, Nebraska. They were married on October 19, 1962, and they were happily married for 63 years. To this union, they had sons Rex (Missy) and Ray (Barb); and a daughter Tracy Saults (Bud).
Over the years, she has been a waitress at different restaurants and cafes, including West Winds, where she was known for making great salads. She was a janitor at the Clinton school for many years before she began cooking are the students at the school. This is where she perfected fresh bread and homemade meals.
She has four grandchildren, Brandon Saults of Hawaii, Candace (Saults) Maaliki of Colorado, Tessa (Retzlaff) Macaitis of South Dakota, and preceded in death by Jesse Retzlaff.
She has one great-granddaughter, Layla Macaitis.
Her only surviving sibling out of many is Marian Shedeed of Gordon, Nebraska.
A memorial has been established for the Rushville Ambulance service or a charity of your choice.
