Penny Rolfe

August 21, 1945 — March 17, 2018

Penny Kathleen Rolfe, age 72, crossed over on March 17, 2018, after a lengthy illness. She was born August 21, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama, and raised in Castro Valley/Hayward, CA.

She met and later married Weldon Arthur Rolfe Jr, in 1968 and who was from the Martin, SD area, he passed away in 2006. During her husband's various US Naval duty stations, they lived and worked in many places such as San Francisco, San Diego, Great Lakes, Denver, Hawaii, Cuba and White Sands, while also enjoying the various locations and cultures that were offered at these places. Together they raised four children and later retired outside of Martin for a few years. She held a piece of all the locations she lived in her heart and maintained various close and loving friendships across the country.

Survivors include her brother Kenneth Jones (Sandy), her children; Shown Rolfe (Willow), Scott Rolfe (Alisa), Stephanie Bautista (Victor), Shannon Ticho (Chris), grandchildren; Cameron, Cody, Christopher, Morgan, Siena, Gianna, and Stevie, great-grandchildren; Molly and Lucas and nieces Meghan, Brianne, and Erin.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday March 28, 2018, at the Grace Cemetery (old Episcopal church location) near LaCreek, South Dakota. Relatives and friends are welcome. A small reception will be held at the H & H in Martin, SD.

Flowers are welcome and can be ordered via Essence (308-282-2014) but recommend in lieu of flowers a small donation may be made to the ASCPA, Penny loved her dogs.
