Chadron

Saundrea Ellen Ingwersen, age 79, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Chadron, Nebraska.

She was born on January 3, 1946, in California. During her youth, Sandy lived in both Wyoming and Nebraska, ultimately settling in Chadron, and graduating from Chadron High School in 1965. She dedicated most of her professional life working at Chadron Community Hospital, where her caring nature and upbeat spirit left a lasting impression on those around her.

Sandy shared her life with her devoted husband, Rodney. Together they raised a family that brought her immense joy. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Scott (Margaret), and grandsons Axel and Zane. Her brother, Daniel Frye, also survives her as well as numerous nieces and nephews she also loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Mary Ellen Frye, as well as her brother, Terry Frye.

A woman of quiet strength and great kindness, Sandy had a special place in her heart for animals. Her love for her pets and all living things was matched only by the joy she found in spending time with friends and family. She had a close-knit group of friends whom she greatly enjoyed frequent outings with out on the town. She was known for her great sense of humor and ability to light up any room with her presence. She also enjoyed gardening - nurturing life both indoors and out reflected the gentle spirit she carried throughout her days.
