Terry Snyder

Terence ‘Terry’ Snyder passed away January 7, 2022, at Gordon Countryside Care. He was born July 11, 1947, to Clarence and Donna (Johns) Snyder in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended school in Lincoln until he was drafted into the US Navy, and he served from January 1967 to January 1971.

Petty Officer Terence Snyder, Third Class, was honorably discharged from the US Navy, he returned to Lincoln where he raised three sons and worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years. On April 20, 1996, he married Sandra Knehans. They moved to LA where Terry enjoyed his job as a recruiter for MEPS. One continuous thing he had to remind the recruits was to remove their caps and pull up their pants. His favorite hobby was fishing in Minnesota.

Terry is survived by his wife Sandy, sons Sam Snyder, Aaron Snyder and Courtney (Tossa) Fuller, his daughters Kandy (Robbie) Brown and Kassie (Billy) Hiatt, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Dennis Snyder and mother-in-law Charlotte Knehans. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff Snyder and grandsons Zach Snyder and Braxton Fuller.

Memorial services will be held Saturday January 29, 2022, 2:00 PM at the New Christian Church in Rushville, NE. A memorial has been established for the Rushville American Legion and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
