Wayne Lux

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Lux, who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born August 6, 1951, to Gerald and Alice (Williams) Lux, in Crawford, NE. Wayne spent his life ranching near Crawford, where he built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for the land. Ranching was more than his livelihood. It was his passion and the foundation of the life he shared with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Alice.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Patti; his son, Bill (Katie); his daughter, Molly; his five brothers and sisters, Lynne (Mike) Reeder, Jack (Laura), Geraldine (Matt) Erickson, Carl (Sheila), and Tim (Amanda); and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved and the land he cared for throughout his life.

A memorial has been established for the Crawford Fire Department.
