Willis Wellman

Willis Wayne Wellman, 54, of Chadron, Nebraska, passed away on January 6, 2026.

Willis proudly served his country as a soldier with the 101st Airborne Division, deploying to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Wellman; his brothers, George Wellman and Jerry Wellman; his daughters Tiffany Brandon and Taylor Pruitt.

Willis found fulfillment in the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he lived for the quiet mornings on the water, and the thrill of the hunt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to veterans' organizations or outdoor conservation efforts in Willis's memory.

Willis Wayne Wellman will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and forever honored for his service to his country, and his love of wild places. Rest in peace, son, brother, father, brave soldier, and true outdoorsman.
