Dorothy Loraine Robbins Lowder

Dorothy Loraine (Robbins) Lowder was born October 29th, 1946 to Edwin and Wilma Robbins in Gordon, Nebraska. Dorothy was third of 14 children. She passed away on July 30th, 2020 at Pineview Good Samaritan in Valentine, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Friday August 7th, 2020 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Bennett County Funeral Service in Martin, South Dakota. The service will be held Saturday August 8th at 10 AM at the new legion in Martin, South Dakota to be followed by interment at the Martin Community Cemetery. There will be a reception to follow at the new legion on highway 18 in Martin, South Dakota.

Dorothy spent her childhood around Long Valley, South Dakota. She attended high school in Martin, South Dakota where she stayed and helped a family friend for room and board. She later married Donald William Lowder on January 18th, 1964. Between the two of them, they had a total of 9 children. There were 7 boys and 2 girls. She was proceeded in death by her mother, father, 1 sister, 2 brothers, and 2 sons. She is survived by her husband, 6 sons, 2 daughters, 6 grandkids, 7 sisters, 3 brothers and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
