Frances Thyne

Frances Thyne, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

Frances was born November 19, 1921 to Iver and Florence (Buckley) Lingwood in Crawford, Nebraska.

Frances Lingwood married Robert Bachmann in 1940. She later married Bill Thyne in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.

Frances worked for Dr. Owen for 20 years as a medical assistant in Hay Springs and Gordon. This was the beginning of caring for others. Her generosity, devotion and unconditional love were the heart and soul of our family. All were blessed by her strong faith in God that she shared with those she loved.

Survivors include three daughters,  Barbara (LaVern) Hankins, Kay (Mickey) Myrick, DeEtta (Delray) Bassett, son Jim (Teresa) Bachmann, grandchildren Kim, Melanie, Julie, Jill (Jack), Jason (Laura), Matt (Lexi), Isaac (Jami), Kelsey, Dain and Jordan; great grandchildren Tanner, Drew, Maxwell, Cooper, Hudson, River, Jude, Luca, Evie, Quinn, Huxley and Rosemary; her sister Ann Paschal and 1 niece and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Robert Bachmann, second husband William Thyne, daughter Saundra Roberts and granddaughter Karla Letcher.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Pioneer Manor Nursing Home for their loving care of our mother.

In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Pioneer Manor, Hay Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Zion Lutheran Church.

Funeral Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Monday September 30, 2019 at 10:00AM. Visitation with family will be Sunday September 29th from 4:00-6:00PM.
