I was born July 20, 1932 southwest of Hay Springs, Nebraska to Vernon O. Wood and Bertha Louise (VanBuskirk) Wood.

I died May 31, 2021 in my home.

My twin sister, Arlene, and I grew up on a farm, where we spent our days playing with each other. We sand at the school programs, the parents put out each month.

We attended Hay Springs High School.

On July 7, 1950, I married Albert F. Schramm. We lived around the area of Hay Springs. In 1962, we moved to Corona, California, where we lived, Albert worked as a mechanic while I stayed home as a house wife. Then we bought our house in La Sierra, California. I was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout Leader. My husband Albert and I were both in scouting.

Then I volunteered as an aide in the class room at school. That was what I enjoyed doing the most.

We moved back to Hay Springs in 1980, where we opened an auto repair shop. Where I lived until I died.

6 Children were born to our union: Janet Marie (still born), James, Karen, Steve, Gary and his twin Larry (still born).

I loved to sew, made quilts, wedding dresses, formals. I sewed for people to get extra money. I most liked to design my own patterns. I also decorated cakes for many years.

I was a member of the United Methodist Church. I enjoyed bible study each week for many years.

I was preceded in death by my parents Vern and Bertha Wood; siblings: Brothers Zane, Duane, William, Sister Iola (Barth), Brother Marlon and Sister Arlene. My Daughter Janet Marie and son Larry Paul.
