Leo Orr

LEO E ORR
Leo passed away on June 23, 2021 at the age of 96. Leo was born on October 25, 1924 in Hay Springs, Nebraska to Mark and Anna (Serbousek).

Leo grew up on his parents ranch south of Rushville and attended school in a one room country school and after graduating he started classes at the Lincoln Aviation Institute. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on July 13, 1944 and was discharged February 10, 1946.

On June 29, 1946 Leo married Faye Mitchell and they had three children, sons Monte and Stephen and daughter, Donella. Faye died August 27, 1950. In 1951 he married Rose Kearns.

Leo spent about 25 years in the aviation business before returning to the ranch where he ranched until retiring in 1990. He continued living on the ranch after retiring until moving to Gordon in 2012.

He is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Donella Kopaska and son Monte (Sheila) Orr, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Faye, mother Anna, father Mark Orr, brother Frank Orr and son Stehphen Orr.

Graveside Service will be held July 7, 2021 at 2PM at the Rushville Cemetery.
