Marvin "Tuck" Buckley

November 7, 1933 — September 13, 2022

Marvin George (Tuck) Buckley was born in rural Sioux County Nebraska on November 7th 1933 to Roy and Ople Buckley. He graduated from Sioux County High school in 1952 and went into the US Army. After spending time in Germany, he received an honorable discharge and came home to marry Margie Sternhagen and start a life of husband, father, and rancher. They brought William (Bill), Penny Jo, and Shelly Ann into the world and began a whirlwind of school, 4-H, FFA, and high school sports. They continued ranch life in Sioux County until Margie passed on in 1998.

He and Phyllis Wickersham married on 10/31/99 and spent many hours with puzzles and card games and trips to Prairie Winds. He continued to ranch and partnered up with his great nephew Tom Lambert and family in his later years.

He was grandpa to Brandy Jo, Lacy and LaShelle Raben, Donald, Billie Jo, Jamie, and Adam Buckley, and Ryan, Elizabeth and Russel Boyd.

He was Great Grandpa to Laney, Gracie, and Parker Dahlberg of Alliance, Sasha Bickford, Marc Toner, and Kinsey Toner of Oklahoma, Rylee, Alayna, and Max Boyd of Oregon, Suzannah and Vivienne Boyd of California, Julie Anthem of Oklahoma and Ethan Buckley of Wyoming.

He also got to be Step grandpa to Kyle Dannelly (Amanda) and Annah Smith (Stacey) and Step Great grandpa to their combined 6 children. Madison, Alexis, Halee, Micah, and Paige Smith of Indianna. And Kylee Dannelly of Kansas.

He is preceded in Death by his parents and siblings, Ivol, Jewel, Dale, Robert Buckley and Ila Mae Bannan and Grandson Adam.

Tuck passed away on Sept 13, 2022 in Casper Wyoming after a battle with Dementia.

There will be a viewing at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2022 at the Harrison Methodist Church in Harrison, NE.

His service will be Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Harrison Methodist Church in Harrison NE. at 10:00 AM.

The family would like to have you join them at the Harrison VFW hall for lunch following the graveside service.

There is a Memorial fund set up for the Sioux County volunteer fire department. Donations can be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
